Grammarly, a popular writing assistant tool, is planning to enhance its services by incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The company has announced a new feature called GrammarlyGo, which aims to provide writers with the ability to improve their writing through AI-powered rewriting.
The introduction of this writing assessment feature is similar to that of ChatGPT, an AI-generative writing platform that recently gained attention and received both praise and criticism from users worldwide. By integrating AI technology into its platform, Grammarly hopes to provide writers with a more advanced tool to help them refine and enhance their writing skills.
The latest feature by the San Francisco-based company is equipped with various capabilities. Along with custom voice options for reading out the written content, it also offers an AI-powered idea-brainstorming feature that enables users to generate new ideas for their writing projects.
Grammarly’s official blog article states, “It will uniquely offer relevant, contextually aware suggestions that account for personal voice and brand style while staying true to our augmented intelligence philosophy to keep customers in control of their experience. GrammarlyGo will enable customers to save time, enhance their creativity, and get more done.”
From April onwards, the beta version of GrammarlyGo will be gradually released to the users of Grammarly Premium, Grammarly Business, and Grammarly for Education customers. This new feature will also be available to users of Grammarly’s free plan in select countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Poland, and Ukraine, before being released to other countries.
GrammarlyGo is designed to work seamlessly with both email threads and long-format documents, which are compatible with Grammarly. This new feature offers several capabilities, including the ability to generate quick replies to emails based on the context of the message received.
In addition, GrammarlyGo can also write content based on short prompts, which can be helpful in overcoming writer’s block and generating new ideas.
